Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Fabrication Supervisor to supervise daily fabrication activities and ensure smooth production operations. The candidate will be responsible for manpower handling, work allocation, quality control, productivity, safety, and timely completion of fabrication jobs as per approved drawings and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day fabrication and production activities.
- Allocate work to fitters, welders, helpers, and fabrication operators based on production requirements.
- Ensure fabrication work is completed as per approved engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor activities such as cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, assembly, and finishing.
- Read and understand fabrication drawings, dimensions, and welding symbols.
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved within the specified timeline.
- Monitor manpower productivity and maintain proper work discipline.
- Coordinate with the Fabrication Manager regarding production planning and work progress.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, welding consumables, tools, and equipment.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, rejection, and production delays.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team for inspection and rectification of defects.
- Ensure all welding and fabrication activities meet required quality standards.
- Identify production issues and take immediate corrective action.
- Maintain daily production and manpower reports.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S practices in the fabrication area.
- Ensure workers follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Monitor the proper use and basic condition of fabrication machines, tools, and equipment.
- Report machine breakdowns, material shortages, quality issues, and manpower concerns to management.
- Train and guide workers to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG, ARC, TIG welding and fabrication processes.
- Experience in handling fitters, welders, helpers, and fabrication workers.
- Knowledge of structural fabrication, MS/SS fabrication, and assembly work.
- Strong leadership and manpower management skills.
- Ability to achieve production targets under deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection requirements.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of 5S, safety practices, and production reporting.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, structural fabrication, or heavy fabrication industry.
- Hands-on experience in supervising fabrication shop-floor activities.
- Ability to handle multiple fabrication jobs and manpower effectively.
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication quality requirements.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
