The Operations Executive / Senior Operations Executive – eCommerce Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational execution of the eCommerce product within the assigned Surface Hub, ensuring seamless movement of shipments across the surface network. The role oversees inbound, outbound and transit operations for the eCommerce product, ensuring shipment visibility, network connectivity, service quality and adherence to committed timelines.
Reporting to the Hub Manager, the incumbent works closely with Linehaul Operations, Network Operations, Service Centres, Last Mile Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure efficient hub processing, timely dispatches and effective resolution of operational exceptions. The role plays a critical part in maintaining service reliability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction for the eCommerce product across the surface logistics network.
To manage end-to-end hub operations for the eCommerce product by ensuring timely processing, consolidation and movement of shipments across the surface network, while maintaining operational accuracy, service quality, network connectivity and compliance with organisational standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
eCommerce Product Operations

Manage day-to-day operational activities for the eCommerce product within the assigned Surface Hub.

Ensure timely receipt, segregation, processing, consolidation and dispatch of eCommerce shipments.

Monitor shipment flow across inbound, outbound and transit operations to achieve network timelines.
-
Ensure adherence to operational workflows, product handling standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
-
Support achievement of product-specific service quality and operational performance targets.
Surface Network Coordination
-
Coordinate movement of eCommerce shipments through scheduled surface linehaul and feeder network operations.
-
Ensure timely loading, dispatch and connectivity of shipments to destination hubs and service centres.
-
Monitor adherence to network cut-off timings and dispatch schedules.
-
Coordinate with Network Operations and Linehaul teams to minimise delays and optimise shipment movement.
-
Ensure accurate shipment visibility through timely scanning and system updates.
Shipment Processing & Exception Management
-
Monitor scanning, sorting, bagging and dispatch activities to ensure operational accuracy.
-
Proactively identify and resolve shipment exceptions including delays, misroutes, scanning discrepancies and stock lying at hub (SLAH).
-
Coordinate with originating and destination locations to ensure timely closure of operational exceptions.
-
Ensure prompt communication of network disruptions and recovery plans to relevant stakeholders.
-
Drive timely resolution of service issues impacting product performance.
Operational Coordination & Service Performance
-
Coordinate daily with Hub Operations, Linehaul, Service Centres, Last Mile Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operational execution.

Monitor daily shipment volumes and support manpower planning based on operational requirements.
-
Track product-specific operational performance and recommend corrective actions to improve service reliability.
-
Support implementation of process improvements and operational best practices across the hub.
-
Prepare operational updates and escalate critical service issues to the Hub Manager in a timely manner.
Service Quality & Operational Excellence
-
Monitor operational performance against defined service level agreements (SLAs) and eCommerce product commitments.
-
Ensure timely closure of operational exceptions to minimise service failures and improve shipment visibility.
-
Monitor shipment ageing, pending loads and stock lying at hub (SLAH), ensuring timely corrective actions.
-
Drive adherence to scanning compliance, shipment accuracy and operational quality standards.
-
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance service reliability and operational productivity.
Resource Planning & Hub Coordination
-
Coordinate with the Hub Manager to ensure adequate manpower, equipment and operational resources are available to support daily volumes.

Support daily operational planning based on shipment forecasts, network priorities and hub capacity.

Coordinate with transport partners and linehaul teams to ensure timely vehicle placement and dispatch readiness.
-
Ensure optimum utilisation of operational resources to achieve productivity and cost efficiency.

Support contingency planning during network disruptions, seasonal peaks and volume surges.
Compliance & Operational Governance
-
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, operational SOPs and statutory requirements applicable to hub operations.
-
Promote safe handling of shipments and adherence to security protocols across all operational activities.

Support internal audits, quality reviews and compliance assessments, ensuring timely closure of observations.

Maintain operational records, documentation and system updates in accordance with organisational requirements.
-
Escalate operational risks, compliance gaps and service issues to the Hub Manager on a timely basis.
Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Generate and maintain daily operational MIS and product performance reports.
-
Monitor key operational metrics and analyse trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Support implementation of automation initiatives and standardised operational practices across the hub.
-
Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving network efficiency and customer experience.

Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability and continuous improvement within the product operations team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
-
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
-
Certification or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
-
3–5 years of experience in courier, express logistics, transportation, eCommerce logistics or hub operations.

Experience in managing hub operations, shipment processing or mid-mile logistics within a high-volume environment.

Exposure to surface linehaul operations, shipment tracking and operational performance management.
-
Experience in coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders to achieve network and service commitments.

Working knowledge of logistics management systems, operational dashboards and Microsoft Office applications.
