About the Role
Chemco Innovative Chemie Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Research & Development Chemist to support innovation, synthesis, and process development for specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, and APIs. The role focuses on converting laboratory findings into scalable, compliant production processes in coordination with the R&D Head and cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform lab‑scale synthesis, reaction optimization, and process development per project objectives.
- Maintain accurate experimental logs, analytical records, and project documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensure work complies with cGMP, GLP, ISO, and internal quality protocols.
- Coordinate with the analytical team for testing and characterization of intermediates and final products (HPLC/GC data review).
- Support process optimization, pilot trials, troubleshooting, and scale‑up activities.
- Assist technology transfer to production, including preparation of batch protocols and participation in process validation.
- Track experimental data, document deviations, and propose corrective actions.
- Liaise with Production, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth project handover and commercialization.
- Conduct literature surveys, feasibility assessments, and Freedom‑to‑Operate (FTO) checks as required.
- Recommend improvements for yield enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to new product development and technical feasibility evaluations.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on R&D experience in fine chemicals, intermediates, or APIs.
- Practical knowledge of analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC.
- Strong experimental technique, documentation discipline, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and ICH guidelines.
- Self‑driven, organized, and able to work in a fast‑paced, innovation‑focused environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Willingness to work 8‑hour shifts (including night shifts when required).
- Willingness to travel for work‑related assignments.
