Job Overview
We are looking for a fashion-focused Store Sales Executive who can deliver an exceptional in-store experience for our premium clientele. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designer clothing sales, excellent knowledge of fashion and styling, and the ability to understand a client's preferences and recommend products accordingly.
The candidate will act not only as a sales executive but also as a Personal Stylist and Client Relationship Manager, helping customers select outfits based on their occasion, personality, body type, preferences, and styling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Sales Management
- Welcome and assist clients with a warm, professional and luxury-focused approach.
- Understand client requirements, preferences, occasion and personal style.
- Recommend suitable garments, collections and complete looks based on the client's needs.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to overall store revenue.
- Build long-term relationships with premium and repeat clients.
- Maintain client profiles, preferences, purchase history and follow-up requirements.
- Handle client follow-ups through calls and WhatsApp when required.
Personal Styling & Fashion Consultation
- Act as a Personal Stylist for clients and provide professional fashion advice.
- Have strong knowledge of fabrics, silhouettes, colours, prints, embroidery, craftsmanship and current fashion trends.
- Suggest complete looks including garments, styling, accessories and suitable combinations.
- Help clients select outfits for weddings, festive occasions, parties, corporate events and other special occasions.
- Understand different body types and recommend flattering silhouettes and styles.
- Stay updated with contemporary fashion, luxury fashion and designer wear trends.
Designer & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with the designer/design team regarding client requirements, customisations, alterations and special requests.
- Communicate client feedback and product requirements to the design team.
- Follow up on customised or made-to-order garments and keep clients updated.
- Coordinate with tailoring/production teams wherever required for alterations and fittings.
Stock & Store Operations
- Maintain accurate records of store inventory and product movement.
- Coordinate with the inventory/team to ensure products are properly tagged, displayed and available.
- Maintain daily stock updates, inward/outward records and product movement.
- Inform the management about low-stock, fast-moving, damaged or missing products.
- Ensure the store is maintained according to luxury retail presentation standards.
- Assist in visual merchandising and maintaining an organised product display.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in designer/premium/luxury clothing retail sales.
- Strong knowledge and genuine interest in fashion and styling.
- Experience in ethnic wear, designer wear, luxury fashion or premium apparel will be preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong client-handling and relationship-building abilities.
- Good understanding of fabrics, silhouettes, prints, embroidery and garment construction.
- Ability to confidently recommend products and create complete looks.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Good follow-up and customer relationship management skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory/stock management.
- Comfortable coordinating with designers, tailors and internal teams.
- Presentable, confident and professional personality.
- Knowledge of Ajrakh, hand block printing, Indian textiles and traditional craftsmanship will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be someone who can sell through styling rather than simply showing products. They should be able to understand a client's personality and requirements, recommend the right pieces, explain the craftsmanship and create a personalised luxury shopping experience.
