Dashmesh Sadan is a premier, seasonal retreat center hosting international groups, training courses, and independent guests. We are seeking a dynamic, English-fluent hospitality professional to elevate our standard of service, act as the welcoming face of the property, and proactively drive new retreat booking revenue.
This is a hybrid role. During gaps in the calendar and the summer off-season, you will work from our Amritsar office focusing on outbound sales, digital bookings, and property improvement planning. Prior to large retreat groups arriving, you will travel to Anandpur Sahib to live on-site, serving as the primary host, managing inventory, and ensuring a flawless, highly professional guest experience. (Note: Physical property maintenance and manual staff management are handled by our dedicated on-site Property Supervisor).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales, Reservations & Calendar Management (Based in Amritsar)
● Outbound Sales: Actively hunt for new business by researching and pitching global retreat leaders, yoga teachers, and wellness groups to fill our high-season calendar.
● Digital Channels: Manage Online Travel Agency (OTA) platforms to maximize visibility and capture independent travelers.
● Inbound Management: Professionally handle all organic inquiries (website, newsletter, legacy groups), processing contracts, liability forms, and payments seamlessly.
● Dietary & Meal Planning Prep: Proactively gather dietary restrictions, allergies, and specific meal preferences from retreat leaders and independent guests well ahead of their arrival to ensure the kitchen is fully prepared.
● Record Keeping & Administration: Maintain meticulous, organized records of all guest communications, booking contracts, liability forms, and payment receipts to ensure smooth financial reconciliation and operational continuity.
● Calendar Policy: Secure large group bookings up to 18 months in advance, while strategically slotting in small/independent groups no more than 2 months prior to arrival.
2. On-Site Hospitality, Concierge & Operations (At Dashmesh Sadan)
● Event Prep: Travel to Anandpur Sahib 24 hours prior to a group's arrival. Conduct thorough property walkthroughs, manage inventory, re-organize spaces, and ensure the facility is operating at a high professional standard.
● Guest Relations: Act as the primary, English-speaking host for international guests. Provide a warm, culturally attuned welcome and elevate the overall professionalism of the retreat experience.
● Food & Beverage Coordination: Work directly with the on-site cooks/kitchen staff to relay all guest dietary needs, confirm daily meal plans, and ensure meal services are executed flawlessly and safely.
● Content Collection: Actively capture high-quality photos, guest stories, and testimonials during retreats to supply fresh, engaging material for the website and newsletter.
● Concierge Services: Assist guests with daily needs, including local taxi bookings, local recommendations, and ad-hoc problem-solving.
● Team Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with the Property Supervisor (who manages housekeeping and manual workers) to ensure the facility meets promised expectations.
3. Off-Season & Property Improvement
● Inventory & Decluttering: Lead comprehensive inventory audits of all linens, kitchenware, and guest amenities. Systematically declutter and reorganize storage and operational spaces.
● Property Improvements: Work alongside the Property Supervisor to identify, plan, and execute property upgrades, deep cleaning, and aesthetic improvements while the property is empty.
● Business Development: Utilize the slower months to update marketing materials and lock in major contracts for the following winter season.
Travel & Operations Policy:
● The Threshold Rule: The Manager is required to travel and stay on-site for large groups and MPA courses. For smaller bookings (under 10 guests), the Manager will handle all pre-arrival communication from Amritsar, while the on-site Property Supervisor acts as the physical key-holder.
● Transport: Travel between Amritsar and Anandpur Sahib will be covered by the organization via a standard train ticket, a mileage allowance (if self-driving), or by joining an MPA school vehicle traveling to the property.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in hospitality management, guest relations, or boutique hotel sales.
● A strong commitment to elevating operational professionalism, organization, and customer service standards.
● Excellent spoken and written English; ability to communicate effortlessly with international guests. Fluency in Hindi/Punjabi required for staff coordination.
● Ability to thrive in a "sprint and rest" seasonal environment, balancing quiet administrative/improvement weeks with intense, 24/7 on-site hospitality deployments.
Compensation Structure:
● Base Salary: ₹40,000 / month.
● Travel & Board: Transport allowance and on-site accommodation/meals provided while deployed at Dashmesh Sadan.
● Performance Commission (5%): Paid exclusively on the room and venue rental revenue for outbound, self-generated new business (e.g., cold outreach, new OTA bookings).
○ Exclusions: Commission does not apply to food, catering, transportation, or add-on services. Inbound leads (website, newsletter, organic inquiries) and returning legacy groups are considered "House Accounts" and are exempt.
○ Payout: Commissions are paid in the monthly salary cycle only after the guest has checked out and the final invoice is fully settled.
