Full job description

ACME School, Guntur, is looking for a warm, energetic, and caring Assistant Teacher for the Pre-Primary Wing. The role involves supporting the class teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and joyful learning environment for young children. The Assistant Teacher will help in classroom management, student care, activity execution, and maintaining smooth daily operations within the preschool section.

Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support

Assist the class teacher in conducting daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
Help prepare teaching-learning materials, worksheets, craft items, and activity setups.
Support children during learning sessions, playtime, snack time, and transitions.
Ensure classrooms remain clean, organised, child-friendly, and safe.

Student Care & Supervision

Assist in maintaining discipline through positive and gentle guidance techniques.
Provide emotional support and individual attention to children whenever required.
Monitor children’s safety and hygiene throughout the school day.
Help children develop good habits, social skills, and independence.

Activity Assistance

Support execution of activities such as art & craft, storytelling, rhymes, music, dance, sensory play, cooking, gardening, and celebrations.
Assist during school events, annual day programs, field trips, and special activity days.

Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with teachers and coordinators regarding classroom requirements and student observations.
Communicate politely and professionally with parents whenever required.
Maintain basic student records, classroom displays, and activity documentation.

General Responsibilities

Arrive punctually and maintain professionalism at all times.
Follow school policies, safety protocols, and child protection guidelines.
Contribute positively to the school culture and team environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum qualification: B.Sc / B.Com / Any Degree (Preference for graduates with ECCEd, Montessori Training, NTT, or relevant certification).
Prior experience in preschool or primary classroom assistance is preferred.
Freshers with passion for working with young children may also apply.
