IT Futuristic Industries Pvt. Ltd. (ITFI) is a fast-growing solar energy solutions company registered in Nagaon, Assam, with corporate offices in Guwahati, Jorhat, Rangia, Nalbari, and Barpeta. We design, install, commission, and service rooftop solar, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems for residential, commercial, agricultural, and government clients across Assam. We are an authorised partner for government solar schemes including PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and KUSUM. As we scale rapidly across Assam, we are building a high-performance sales leadership team to drive our next phase of growth.
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned, result-driven Sales Manager to lead all sales operations for IT Futuristic Industries across Assam. This is a senior leadership role — you will own the company’s complete sales pipeline, lead and develop a team of Sales Executives spread across districts, personally manage high-value B2B, institutional, and government clients, and report directly to the MD/Director. The ideal candidate brings proven regional leadership experience, a strong existing network in Assam, deep knowledge of solar products and government schemes, and the ability to build a revenue-generating engine across all 35 districts of Assam.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Own and drive ITFI’s overall sales strategy for solar products — rooftop, off-grid, hybrid, solar pumps — across all districts of Assam
- Set, monitor, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the entire sales team
- Develop territory-level sales plans with doctor segmentation, product-wise focus, and seasonal / scheme-driven strategies
- Identify high-potential geographies, customer segments, and business verticals for accelerated growth
- Lead new product launches, government scheme campaigns (PM Surya Ghar, KUSUM), and promotional drives across the state
- Track the full sales funnel; identify bottlenecks and implement swift corrective actions
Team Management & Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a team of Sales Executives across ITFI’s offices in Nagaon, Guwahati, Jorhat, Rangia, Nalbari, and Barpeta
- Assign district-wise targets to each Sales Executive and review daily performance through call reports, visit logs, and weekly reviews
- Conduct regular joint field visits with Sales Executives to coach them on customer handling, product detailing, and closing techniques
- Identify skill gaps and arrange product, scheme, and sales training for the team
- Motivate, retain, and develop high performers; manage underperformers with clear improvement plans
Key Account & Institutional Sales
- Personally manage and close high-value B2B accounts — factories, hospitals, hotels, educational institutions, and housing societies
- Lead government and PSU tender identification, application, and follow-through
- Build relationships with APDCL officials, district administration, panchayat bodies, and DISCOM officers for institutional sales and net metering coordination
- Develop and manage a channel partner / dealer network across all major Assam districts
- Negotiate and finalise large commercial and industrial solar project contracts
Marketing & Brand Building
- Plan and oversee local marketing activities — camps, canopy events, dealer meets, district-level exhibitions, and digital campaigns
- Manage ITFI’s brand presence in Assam: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp broadcasts, and local PR
- Identify and leverage government scheme awareness events to generate bulk enquiries
- Oversee production of promotional materials — brochures, banners, flex boards — for field teams
Reporting, Compliance & Office Coordination
- Prepare and present weekly / monthly sales MIS reports to the MD/Director with pipeline data, target vs achievement, and forecasts
- Ensure 100% CRM / lead tracker compliance by the sales team; review lead quality and follow-up discipline
- Coordinate with technical, installation, finance, and subsidy documentation teams for smooth project execution post-sale
- Manage team TA/DA, expense claims, and sales budgets within approved limits
- Ensure all sales practices comply with company policy and applicable regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Leadership & Strategy
- Proven team management — hiring, target-setting, performance monitoring, coaching, and retention of field sales teams
- Revenue ownership and P&L awareness for a multi-district sales operation
- Strategic territory planning, market expansion, and new segment development across Assam
- Experience managing channel partners, dealers, and institutional accounts
- Ability to build and execute quarterly and annual sales budgets and forecasts
Sales & Business Development
- Strong B2B, B2C, and government sales track record with consistent target overachievement
- Key account management and large contract negotiation skills
- Expertise in managing the full sales cycle — lead generation to project handover
- Experience with digital lead generation: Facebook Ads, WhatsApp Business, Google Ads
- Market intelligence gathering and competitor analysis
Domain Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy products: rooftop, off-grid, hybrid systems, solar pumps, inverters, and battery storage
- Strong understanding of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, KUSUM (A, B, C), APDCL net metering, and state solar subsidy processes
- Ability to explain ROI, payback period, subsidy application, and solar loan options to customers and channel partners
- Knowledge of Assam’s rural and semi-urban market dynamics, government procurement channels, and local business ecosystem
Tools & Communication
- Proficient in CRM tools, MS Excel / Google Sheets for sales tracking, and PowerPoint / Canva for management presentations
- Fluent in Assamese and Hindi; good working knowledge of English for written reports and proposals
- Comfortable presenting business reviews and forecasts to the MD/Director
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing / Sales, or BBA / B.Com / B.Sc with an outstanding field track record; technical degree is an added advantage
- 6–12+ years of total sales experience with at least 3–5 years in a managerial / team-leadership role
- Prior experience in solar energy, renewable energy, electrical products, FMCG, infrastructure, telecom, or agri-input sectors in Assam strongly preferred
- Strong existing network in Assam — with dealers, contractors, government departments, APDCL officials, and institutional buyers
- Own vehicle with valid driving licence preferred; willingness to travel across all districts of Assam
