The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day activities at the construction site, ensuring work is executed safely, with good quality, and as per drawings, specifications, and schedule. The role involves coordinating labour and subcontractors, monitoring progress, and reporting to the Project/Construction Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and control all site activities to ensure work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Plan and allocate daily work to workers and subcontractors, ensuring optimal use of manpower, materials, and machinery.
- Monitor daily progress of work and update the Project/Construction Manager with site reports (work done, manpower, issues).
- Maintain strict safety practices at site, enforce PPE usage, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify quality or safety issues and implement corrective actions.
- Check the quality of workmanship and materials, ensure work is as per standard and approved drawings.
- Maintain daily records: labour attendance, work progress, material receipt/consumption, and site diary.
- Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and subcontractors for timely availability of drawings, materials, and resources.
- Assist in preparing and following up short‑term schedules and targets.
- Control wastage of materials at site and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Handle minor site issues and escalate technical or contractual problems to senior engineers/project manager.
- Participate in site meetings and communicate site requirements, constraints, and progress clearly.
- Ensure housekeeping and overall discipline at site.
- In case of accidents, follow company accident/incident procedures and assist in first aid where required.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or related construction field; BE/BTech Civil preferred (can be adjusted based on your requirement).
- 2–5 years’ experience in building/industrial/PEB construction as Site Supervisor or similar role.
- Good knowledge of construction processes, drawings (plans, elevations, sections), and basic surveying/setting‑out.
- Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and site management practices.
Skills and competencies
- Strong supervision skills and ability to get work done through labour and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and basic quantity calculations.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with site team, vendors, and management.
- Basic computer skills for emails and simple reports (MS Excel/Word or mobile apps).
- Focus on safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks.
- Problem‑solving attitude and ability to work under site conditions/pressure.
Reporting and location
- Reports to: Project Engineer / Site Engineer / Project Manager (as per your organisation structure).
- Work location: Project site; requires full‑time presence at site, including extended hours/holidays as per project needs.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
