Job Responsibility – QC Chemist

Position: QC Chemist
Department: Quality Control
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Sc (Chemistry or related field)
Experience: More than 1 year in Pharmaceutical Quality Control

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples according to approved specifications and test methods.
Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Apparatus, pH Meter, and Balance.
Prepare and standardize volumetric solutions, reagents, and test solutions as per SOPs.
Maintain accurate documentation of analytical data, laboratory records, logbooks, and reports in compliance with GMP/GLP requirements.
Review analytical results and report any Out of Specification (OOS) or abnormal findings to the supervisor.
Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements during all laboratory activities.
Support method validation, method transfer, and stability studies when required.
Coordinate with Production and QA departments for sample collection and testing activities.
Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the laboratory area.
Participate in internal audits, investigations, and corrective/preventive action activities.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards including WHO-GMP, USFDA, and other applicable guidelines.

Required Skills

Knowledge of pharmaceutical analytical techniques and laboratory practices.
Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and documentation practices.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic computer knowledge and experience with laboratory documentation systems.
Ability to work in shifts and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidate should have hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
Strong understanding of analytical instruments and troubleshooting basics.
Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
