Job Title: True Value Manager / Used Car Manager
Department: Pre-Owned / Used Car Sales
Reports To: Dealer Principal / General Manager / Sales HOD
Job Purpose
To manage and grow the dealership’s True Value/pre-owned vehicle business by ensuring profitable vehicle sourcing, accurate evaluation, effective inventory management, strong sales performance, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete pre-owned vehicle business from sourcing to final delivery.
- Develop channels for sourcing quality used vehicles through customers, exchanges, direct purchases, and market contacts.
- Inspect and evaluate vehicles based on condition, age, mileage, market demand, and refurbishment requirements.
- Ensure proper vehicle valuation and purchase pricing to maintain profitability.
- Manage used-car inventory, ageing stock, pricing, and rotation.
- Plan and achieve monthly sales, purchase, revenue, and gross-profit targets.
- Coordinate vehicle refurbishment, documentation, registration, insurance, and delivery.
- Lead and motivate the True Value sales and evaluation team.
- Monitor individual team performance and conduct regular reviews.
- Generate leads through showroom walk-ins, existing customers, digital channels, referrals, and local marketing.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure a smooth buying/selling experience.
- Negotiate vehicle purchases and sales while protecting dealership margins.
- Monitor competitors, local used-car prices, customer trends, and market demand.
- Ensure compliance with dealership processes and company policies.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly business reports.
- Coordinate with New Car Sales, Finance, Insurance, Service, Workshop, and Accounts teams.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in used-car/pre-owned automobile sales, preferably with dealership experience.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle evaluation and used-car pricing.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong sales and business-development ability.
- Team-management and leadership skills.
- Understanding of automobile documentation, RC transfer, insurance, finance, and taxation.
- Good knowledge of local used-car market conditions.
- Ability to analyse sales, inventory, and profitability reports.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
