Voxo is building a product-focused 3D printing business, turning high-potential product ideas into useful, customizable physical products.
We are looking for a 3D Printing Production Operator to join our production team and help operate our growing printer farm.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for keeping printers running, monitoring jobs, maintaining print quality, handling finished parts, and ensuring products move smoothly from printing to fulfilment.
About the Role
As a 3D Printing Production Operator, you will work with our 3D printer farm on a daily basis.
Your primary responsibility will be to keep production running reliably and efficiently.
You will monitor active prints, start new jobs, remove completed parts, manage filament, perform basic printer maintenance, identify failed prints, carry out basic quality checks, and keep production organized according to the daily schedule.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, machines, 3D printing, and practical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities3D Printer Operations
- Start and stop 3D printing jobs according to the production schedule.
- Load the correct filament and confirm printer settings before starting jobs.
- Monitor active prints and identify problems early.
- Remove completed prints carefully without damaging the parts or printer.
- Prepare printers for the next production job.
- Keep track of running and completed print jobs.
Print Quality & Inspection
- Perform basic quality checks on printed parts.
- Check for common issues such as:
- Warping
- Layer separation
- Stringing
- Poor first layers
- Under-extrusion
- Failed supports
- Dimensional or visual defects
- Separate defective parts from good parts.
- Report recurring print-quality problems to the relevant team member.
Printer Maintenance
- Perform basic routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Keep print beds, nozzles, build plates, and surrounding areas clean.
- Identify basic printer problems and escalate issues when necessary.
- Help maintain printers so they remain production-ready.
- Follow maintenance and safety procedures.
Filament & Materials
- Monitor filament usage and inventory.
- Change filament rolls when required.
- Ensure the correct material and colour are used for each production job.
- Store filament properly and keep production materials organized.
- Report low stock or material problems before they affect production.
Post-Processing
- Remove supports from completed parts.
- Clean and prepare printed parts for the next stage of production.
- Handle parts carefully to avoid scratches, breakage, or other damage.
- Keep completed products organized for assembly, packaging, or fulfilment.
Production Management
- Follow the daily production schedule.
- Prioritize jobs according to instructions.
- Maintain basic production records.
- Record completed, failed, and reprinted jobs.
- Report failed prints with useful information such as printer, filament, product, print time, and suspected cause.
- Help improve printer utilization and reduce unnecessary downtime.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of 3D printing.
- Comfortable working with machines and production equipment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable performing repetitive hands-on work.
- Ability to follow production schedules and instructions accurately.
- Basic computer/smartphone skills.
- Ability to identify obvious print-quality problems.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable standing and working around printers for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn printer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience
Experience with 3D printing is preferred, but strong candidates without professional 3D-printing experience can also apply if they have a strong interest in learning and are comfortable working with machines.
Relevant experience may include:
- Operating FDM 3D printers
- 3D printing as a hobby
- Maker/DIY projects
- Workshop or fabrication work
- Manufacturing/production work
- Machine operation
- Electronics or mechanical projects
- Technical assembly work
Good to Have
- Experience with FDM 3D printers.
- Experience with printers such as Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, or similar.
- Familiarity with slicers such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Cura, PrusaSlicer, or similar.
- Basic understanding of PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS/ASA, or other common filaments.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Experience maintaining machines or workshop equipment.
- Experience working in a production environment.

Working Style
This is a hands-on production position. It is not a desk-only role.
You will spend a significant part of your day around 3D printers, handling printed parts, changing materials, cleaning equipment, checking print quality, and keeping production moving.
