We're looking for an enthusiastic Video Content Creator who enjoys storytelling through videos and wants to grow with a fast-moving technology startup.
Position Overview
As our Video Content Creator, you'll work closely with the Founder and team to create engaging short-form content that showcases our work, products, culture, and learning journey.
This role involves planning, recording, editing, and publishing videos across social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X (Twitter).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys content creation and wants to build a professional portfolio while working with a technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Record videos featuring office activities, software demonstrations, team updates, events, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Capture high-quality footage using smartphones, cameras, or other recording equipment.
- Edit short-form videos for social media platforms.
- Add captions, transitions, animations, background music, and branding elements.
- Design simple thumbnails and promotional graphics when required.
- Publish and schedule content across various social media platforms.
- Organize and maintain a structured library of photos, videos, and digital assets.
- Collaborate with the Founder to brainstorm new content ideas.
- Monitor social media trends and suggest content that aligns with our brand.
- Maintain consistency in content quality and posting schedule.
- Support occasional photography during company events or client visits.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of video editing software such as Capcut
- Basic understanding of Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools.
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
- Comfortable recording videos using smartphones or DSLR/mirrorless cameras.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Bonus Skills
These are not mandatory but will be considered an advantage:
- Previous experience creating social media content.
- Portfolio of edited videos, YouTube channel, Instagram page, or personal projects.
- Basic photography skills.
- Motion graphics or animation.
- Knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Runway, or other AI-assisted content creation tools.
- Basic understanding of branding and digital marketing.
