Full job description

We are seeking an IP Billing Specialist to join our team. The IP Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing billing for internet protocol (IP)-related services, including monitoring and verifying usage, creating invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely billing for our customers. The role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, knowledge of IP billing systems, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve billing-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Invoicing:
Manage the billing process for IP-related services, ensuring invoices are generated accurately and sent to customers on time.
Process usage data, applying correct rates and charges for IP services.
Ensure proper categorization and accounting of charges related to IP services.
Data Management:
Collect and analyze IP data for billing purposes, ensuring all usage is recorded and billed correctly.
Verify that all usage records are accurate and reconcile discrepancies between billed amounts and usage data.
Customer Support:
Address customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes related to IP services.
Collaborate with the customer service team to provide accurate billing information and resolve issues promptly.
System Management:
Utilize billing systems to process IP service invoices and track outstanding payments.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure billing system integration with other platforms is accurate and efficient.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare and present billing reports to management, identifying any trends or issues.
Ensure that all IP billing practices comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in IP billing or payment processing.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service, IT) to ensure accurate billing and prompt issue resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in billing, finance, or accounts receivable, preferably in the telecommunications or IP services industry.
Strong understanding of IP billing systems and processes.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using billing software, ERP systems, and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in analyzing usage data and billing records.
Knowledge of industry billing standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Experience with IP-based billing solutions or telecom billing systems.
Familiarity with invoicing tools and financial reporting.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with the possibility of overtime during peak periods.
Office-based or remote (depending on company policy).
Occasional interaction with customers may be required.
