Key ResponsibilitiesSports Training & Coaching
- Plan and conduct regular coaching sessions for university sports teams.
- Identify, mentor, and develop talented student athletes.
- Prepare teams for Inter-University, State, National, and International competitions.
- Develop annual sports training calendars and performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate strength and conditioning programmes with coaches and trainers.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education, Sports Science, Fitness, Wellness, or related courses as assigned.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and student evaluations.
- Mentor students in sports, fitness, and holistic wellness.
- Support curriculum development in sports and physical education.
Sports Administration
- Manage the University Sports Department and all sports facilities.
- Organize intra-university tournaments, annual sports meets, yoga sports events, and intercollegiate competitions.
- Coordinate participation in Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and other recognized competitions.
- Prepare budgets, maintain inventories, and oversee procurement of sports equipment.
- Ensure proper maintenance of playgrounds, courts, gymnasium, and sports infrastructure.
- Maintain records of student participation, achievements, and compliance documentation.
Student Development
- Promote fitness and wellness among students.
- Conduct orientation programmes on sports participation and healthy lifestyles.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and coaching camps.
- Encourage inclusive participation of women and differently-abled students.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with UGC, AIU, and University regulations.
- Maintain safety standards during sports activities.
- Prepare annual reports, performance metrics, and accreditation-related documentation.
Essential Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) / Physical Education & Sports / Sports Science with at least 55% marks.
- NET/SLET/SET qualification in Physical Education or exemption as per prevailing UGC Regulations (where applicable).
- Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in Physical Education/Sports Science will be preferred.
- Proven record of participation or coaching at University, State, National, or International level.
- Physical Fitness Test as applicable under UGC norms.
Experience
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in sports coaching, university sports administration, or physical education teaching.
- Experience in organizing university sports events and inter-university competitions.
- Experience in managing sports facilities and student athletes.

Salary
As per UGC norms and S-VYASA University rules. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance.
