Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to assemble, fit, and install fabricated parts and components as per engineering drawings and production requirements. The candidate should have experience in fabrication, structural fitting, equipment assembly, and shop floor operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesFitting & Assembly

Read and understand fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
Perform fitting, alignment, and assembly of fabricated components.
Mark, cut, grind, drill, and prepare materials for assembly.
Ensure proper fit-up before welding and fabrication processes.

Fabrication Support

Assist welders and fabrication team during assembly operations.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and alignment of components.
Perform tack welding support activities if required.

Inspection & Quality

Check dimensions and fittings as per approved drawings.
Identify defects, misalignment, or fitting issues and report to supervisor.
Ensure work quality meets company standards.

Safety & Housekeeping

Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline in work area.
Handle tools and equipment safely.

Required Qualifications

ITI Fitter / Welder / Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
1–5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing industry.

Required Skills

Knowledge of fabrication drawings
Measuring and marking skills
Handling fitting tools and equipment
Assembly and alignment knowledge
Basic welding understanding
Teamwork and discipline

Preferred Experience

Structural steel fabrication
Heavy equipment assembly
Tank, vessel, or piping fabrication
Industrial fabrication projects

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of fitting work
Production target achievement
Rework reduction
Safety compliance
Productivity and quality performance

Salary

As per industry standards and experience

Pay: ₹16,210.37 - ₹20,000.00 per month
