Description

Position Summary: The SEO Specialist is responsible for optimizing websites and online content to improve organic search visibility, drive targeted traffic, and enhance the overall search engine rankings of a company or organization. They work closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective SEO strategies, conduct keyword research, and monitor website performance to achieve maximum organic search performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement SEO strategies: Collaborate with marketing and web development teams to create and execute SEO strategies that align with business goals. Conduct keyword research, identify target keywords and phrases, and optimize website content and structure accordingly.
On-page optimization: Optimize website pages and content to improve organic rankings and user experience. Conduct keyword optimization, meta tag creation, URL structure optimization, and internal linking strategies. Ensure website elements such as headings, images, and HTML tags are optimized for SEO.
Off-page optimization: Develop and implement off-page SEO strategies to build high-quality backlinks and improve website authority. Conduct outreach to relevant websites and influencers for link building opportunities. Monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic links if necessary.
Technical SEO optimization: Conduct technical website audits to identify and resolve issues that may impact search engine crawling and indexing. Optimize website speed, mobile responsiveness, site architecture, and XML sitemaps. Collaborate with web development teams to implement technical SEO recommendations.
SEO content creation: Collaborate with content creators to develop high-quality, keyword-optimized content that aligns with SEO objectives. Conduct content gap analysis and identify opportunities for creating new content to target specific keywords or topics.
Monitor and analyze website performance: Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversions. Identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement based on data analysis. Prepare regular reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Stay updated on SEO trends and best practices: Keep abreast of industry changes and algorithm updates to ensure SEO strategies are up to date. Continuously research and test new SEO techniques, tools, and trends. Share insights and recommendations with the team to improve SEO performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with marketing, web development, content, and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of the website and online content. Provide guidance and support to teams regarding SEO optimization techniques.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field.
Proven work experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, best practices, and ranking factors.
Familiarity with web analytics tools, keyword research tools, and SEO reporting platforms.
Strong understanding of on-page and off-page optimization techniques.
Experience with technical SEO aspects, including website audits and optimization.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS).
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
