Position: Senior Accounts Officer
Role Overview
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Officer to manage accounting, financial reporting, cost tracking, and administrative control functions across office and field operations. The role requires a person who can maintain accurate accounts, provide timely MIS reports, support management decisions through financial analysis, and ensure proper control over resources, payments, and records.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain complete books of accounts for agriculture projects, field operations, office expenses, and administrative activities.
- Ensure proper accounting on an accrual basis with accurate classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Maintain accounts in Tally with proper ledgers, cost centres, project-wise tracking, and MIS structures.
- Ensure timely entry, reconciliation, verification, and closing of accounts.
- Maintain proper documentation of vouchers, bills, invoices, approvals, and supporting records.
2. Costing, MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare regular financial MIS reports for management review.
- Track project-wise and activity-wise costs, including agriculture operations, manpower, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Analyse budgets versus actual expenses and highlight deviations.
- Provide cost analysis, profitability reports, and operational insights from accounting data.
- Coordinate with field teams to collect operational data and convert it into useful financial reports.
3. Cash Flow, Payments & Controls
- Manage cash, bank transactions, and day-to-day financial operations.
- Plan and track payment of vendors, contractors, staff, statutory dues, and other liabilities.
- Maintain strong control over advances, recoveries, outstanding balances, and pending payments.
- Ensure proper approval processes and financial discipline across operations.
4. Office Administration & Asset Management
- Maintain records and control of office assets, equipment, vehicles, inventory, and other resources.
- Oversee administrative expenses and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Supervise office support staff, security personnel, and administrative activities.
- Coordinate office maintenance, purchases, supplies, and vendor management.
5. Coordination & Operational Support
- Work closely with project managers, farm teams, administrative officers, and management.
- Support operational reviews through accurate financial and activity reports.
- Assist in improving systems, processes, documentation, and internal controls.
- Undertake additional responsibilities relating to office, projects, and field operations as assigned by management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Experience in accounts, Tally, MIS reporting, costing, and office administration.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Good working knowledge of Tally (including cost centres and project accounting), Excel, and reporting tools.
- Ability to coordinate with field teams and convert operational activities into meaningful financial information.
- Strong ownership, integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹216,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
