About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Event Sales Manager who can understand client requirements, develop compelling event solutions and convert opportunities into profitable business.
This is a consultative sales role. You will work closely with corporate clients, understand their objectives, recommend the right experience and manage the opportunity from the initial conversation through closure and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound enquiries for corporate events, offsites, conferences, team-building activities and MICE travel
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking and relationship building
- Conduct detailed discovery calls to understand the client’s objectives, audience, budget and expectations
- Develop event concepts, proposals, presentations, itineraries and commercial quotations
- Present solutions confidently to HR leaders, administration teams, procurement departments and senior management
- Follow up consistently, negotiate commercials and close opportunities within defined timelines
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling and cross-selling
- Coordinate with creative, operations, hotel contracting and vendor teams to ensure accurate proposals and smooth handovers
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and regularly report progress, forecasts and conversion numbers
- Take ownership of individual revenue and profitability targets
- Remain informed about new venues, destinations, event formats and industry trends
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in corporate events, experiential marketing, hospitality, travel, MICE, employee engagement or venue sales
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and client-handling abilities
- A solution-oriented approach with the ability to translate briefs into practical event ideas
- Commercial awareness and confidence in working with budgets, margins and quotations
- Strong follow-up discipline and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and tight timelines
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel or attend client meetings and events when required
- An existing corporate network will be an advantage
