Medical Lab Technician (DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Tech MLT)
Vrozart Diagnostics · Mohali, Punjab · Full-Time · Mid-Level (2–5 Years)
About Vrozart Diagnostics
Vrozart Diagnostics is the healthcare and diagnostics vertical of Vrozart Group — a diversified conglomerate headquartered in Mohali, operating across AI, technology, financial services, agriculture, and healthcare. We are building a diagnostics practice that combines clinical rigour with technology-driven efficiency, and we need skilled lab professionals who take accuracy seriously.
The Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Lab Technician to join our diagnostics team. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, maintaining equipment and quality standards, and ensuring that every result leaving the lab is accurate, timely, and properly documented.
This is a hands-on clinical role. You will work closely with the lab in-charge and with referring physicians, and you will be expected to flag anomalies, maintain strict compliance with lab protocols, and handle samples with precision and care.
What You Will Do
Sample Collection and Processing
- Collect blood, urine, stool, and other biological samples from patients as required, following correct phlebotomy technique
- Receive, log, and process samples from external collection points and home collection services
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, and chain of custody for all samples
- Reject and document non-compliant samples according to standard operating procedures
Laboratory Testing
- Perform haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, immunology, and urinalysis tests using automated and semi-automated equipment
- Operate and maintain instruments including haematology analysers, biochemistry analysers, centrifuges, microscopes, and urine analysers
- Perform manual smear preparation and microscopic examination where required
- Conduct ELISA, rapid antigen, and immunochromatographic tests as needed
- Prepare culture media, perform bacterial sensitivity tests, and report findings accurately
Quality Control and Compliance
- Run daily internal quality control checks and document results before releasing patient reports
- Participate in external quality assurance programmes (EQAS) as required
- Maintain calibration records and preventive maintenance logs for all equipment
- Follow NABL and ICMR guidelines for sample handling, testing, and result reporting
- Ensure biosafety protocols are followed at all times — PPE usage, biohazard waste disposal, and spill management
Reporting and Documentation
- Verify and authorise test results within your scope of practice before releasing to patients or physicians
- Flag critical values immediately to the lab in-charge and to the referring physician as per protocol
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records of all tests performed
- Support the lab in-charge in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly turnaround time and quality reports
Inventory and Consumables
- Monitor reagent and consumable stock levels and raise indent requests before shortfall occurs
- Check expiry dates on reagents and ensure proper storage as per manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain records of kit lot numbers used for each test batch
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications — one of the following:
- DMLT (Diploma in Medical Lab Technology) with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience

Technical skills:
- Hands-on experience with automated haematology and biochemistry analysers
- Proficiency in phlebotomy — adult and paediatric
- Working knowledge of quality control procedures and NABL standards
- Ability to perform and interpret smear microscopy, urine microscopy, and basic microbiology
- Familiarity with LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) for report generation
Personal qualities we look for:
- High attention to detail — you check your work before releasing it, every time
- Calm under pressure — a busy morning with a queue of samples does not make you cut corners
- Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain a result to a patient in plain language and flag a critical value to a doctor with confidence
