Position: Account Executive
Location: Sowcarpet Chennai
Department: Accounts
Reporting to: Director/MD/Accounts Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our financial transactions and ensure compliance with tax regulations in our gold jewellery manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting practices specific to the jewellery industry, including GST return filings, TDS compliance, and inventory management for precious metals.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a gold jewellery manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally, ERP software, and MS Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other relevant tax laws.
Other Skills: Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:
Maintain accurate accounting records for daily financial transactions.
Ensure all financial entries align with company policies and statutory requirements.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ledgers, and bank statements.
GST and TDS Compliance:
Prepare and file GST returns in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all GST laws and regulations.
Handle all TDS-related activities, including deduction, deposit, return filing, and issuing Form 16A.
Conduct regular audits to verify GST and TDS calculations and prevent discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Manage and record stock and inventory movements, particularly for gold and other precious metals.
Coordinate with the production team to reconcile raw material consumption and finished goods inventory.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and expenditure against budgets.
Internal Audits & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent misappropriations.
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and vendors for efficient financial operations.
