A Construction Store Keeper is primarily responsible for managing and controlling inventory, receiving and storing materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to the construction site. They also handle tasks like issuing materials, disposing of dead stock, and ensuring safety compliance. Here's a more detailed breakdown of their responsibilities:Inventory Management & Control:
Related Experience upto - 1 to 5 yrs

Receiving and Verifying Materials: Checking incoming materials against purchase orders, ensuring they are in good condition, and documenting receipts.
Storing Materials: Organizing and storing materials efficiently, using appropriate methods to prevent damage or loss.
Maintaining Inventory Records: Keeping accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.
Issuing Materials: Providing materials to authorized personnel based on requisitions, ensuring correct quantities are issued.
Stock Control: Monitoring stock levels, identifying potential shortages, and initiating purchase requisitions when necessary.
Disposing of Dead Stock: Handling surplus or outdated materials according to company procedures.

Record Keeping & Documentation:

Log Book Maintenance: Keeping a log book of all material transactions.
Entry and Exit Registers: Maintaining records of who enters and exits the store.
Delivery and Dispatch Registers: Documenting incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Reconciliation of Discrepancies: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between records and physical stock.

Safety & Communication:

Ensuring Safety Compliance:Adhering to safety regulations and practices, both within the store and on the construction site.
