We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor specialising in boiler repair, maintenance, and replacement for industrial plants (steel, power, sugar, etc.). The candidate will oversee on-site execution, ensure compliance with safety standards, and manage a team of technicians to deliver high-quality boiler servicing as per client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Supervision & Execution:
- Lead and monitor boiler repair, maintenance, and replacement activities at client sites.
- Ensure work is carried out as per engineering drawings, safety norms, and industry standards (ASME, IBR, etc.).
- Coordinate with engineers, welders, fitters, and contractors for seamless project execution.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE, LOTO, hazard analysis) and environmental regulations.
- Conduct inspections to verify repair quality, pressure testing, and material integrity.
- Maintain documentation (work reports, compliance checks, material logs).
- Team & Client Management:
- Supervise and train technicians on best practices in boiler repair (welding, tube replacement, refractory work, etc.).
- Liaise with clients for progress updates, issue resolution, and post-service feedback.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
- Diagnose boiler failures (leakages, corrosion, scaling, etc.) and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in planning shutdown maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/Advanced Certification in Boiler Technology.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in boiler repair/maintenance (preferably in power plants, steel plants, or sugar mills).
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Boiler components (pressure parts, tubes, headers, refractory, valves).
- Welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Arc) and NDT methods (DPT, UT, RT).
- IBR regulations and ASME standards.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools.
Skills & Competencies

- Excellent communication (English/local language) and reporting skills.
Preferred Certifications
- IBR Certified Welding Supervisor
- Safety Training (OSHA/NEBOSH)
- ASME Section I & VIII Awareness
