Position DetailsJob Summary
KIMS Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a skilled and responsible NCV Technician to perform Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) and related neurodiagnostic procedures under the guidance of the Neurologist. The candidate will be responsible for preparing patients, operating NCV/EMG equipment, maintaining accurate records, ensuring patient safety, and assisting doctors during diagnostic procedures while following hospital quality and infection control protocols.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) investigations as prescribed by the Consultant Neurologist.
- Assist the Neurologist during EMG and other electrodiagnostic procedures whenever required.
- Prepare patients before the procedure and explain the basic process to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
- Verify patient identity, investigation requisition, and relevant clinical details before conducting the test.
- Properly position patients and apply electrodes according to standard operating procedures.
- Operate and handle NCV/EMG diagnostic equipment efficiently and safely.
- Ensure accurate acquisition of diagnostic signals and maintain proper image/data quality for consultant interpretation.
- Maintain complete documentation of all investigations performed during the day.
- Upload and organize patient reports/data in the hospital system as per departmental protocol.
- Clean and disinfect electrodes, probes, cables, and equipment after every patient according to infection control guidelines.
- Ensure availability of consumables and inform the department in advance regarding stock requirements.
- Report any equipment malfunction immediately and coordinate with Biomedical/Engineering Department for maintenance.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records at all times.
- Follow NABH standards, hospital policies, biomedical safety, and quality protocols.
- Support smooth workflow of the Neurology Department and coordinate with OPD, IPD, and other clinical departments.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Neurophysiology / Neurotechnology / Allied Health Science or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Diploma or Certification in NCV, EMG, or Neurodiagnostic Technology will be preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or neurology diagnostic department is desirable.
- Freshers with appropriate training may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of NCV and basic EMG procedures.
- Ability to operate computerized neurodiagnostic equipment.
- Good patient handling and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording diagnostic data.
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in coordination with Consultants and clinical staff.
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and report management.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
