Job Title: Accounts Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Accounts Clerk for the Accounts Department to support day-to-day accounting, documentation, and financial record maintenance activities. The candidate will assist in handling vouchers, invoices, ledger entries, fee records, and general accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional procedures. The role requires good numerical ability, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency in computer-based accounting and documentation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accounting records, vouchers, invoices, receipts, financial documents, and related registers systematically.
Assist in data entry related to accounts, fee collection, payments, ledger maintenance, and financial transactions.
Prepare and update daily cash books, expense records, transaction statements, spreadsheets, and accounting reports.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and payment follow-up activities.
Assist in bank-related transactions, reconciliation, and documentation processes.
Maintain records related to student fees, departmental expenses, purchases, and financial activities.
Ensure proper filing, safe maintenance, and confidentiality of financial records and documents.
Assist during audits, inspections, and financial verification activities.
Coordinate with departments, vendors, students, and staff regarding accounts-related matters.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the Accounts Officer or Management.

Desired Candidate Qualification

Bachelor in commerce is mandatory
1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related activities.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, ledger maintenance, and financial documentation.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of accounting software and computerized accounting systems is preferable.
Strong numerical, organizational, and record-maintenance skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
Experience in educational institutions/accounts offices is preferred.
