Job Title: Assistant Internal Auditor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Coimbatore

Industry: Education

Qualification: B.Com, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience: 1 – 3 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Internal Auditor to support internal audit activities and ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will assist in conducting audits, reviewing records, verifying transactions, preparing audit documentation, and supporting risk assessment and compliance activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and special audit assignments as per the audit plan.
Verify financial transactions, records, documents, and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance.
Review internal controls, policies, and operational procedures and identify areas for improvement.
Collect, analyze, and maintain audit-related data, working papers, reports, and documentation.
Assist in preparing audit findings, reports, and recommendations, and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with departments for audit requirements, information gathering, and compliance activities.
Ensure confidentiality of financial, operational, and institutional information.
Stay updated on statutory regulations, compliance requirements, and audit practices.
Perform other audit and compliance-related duties assigned by the Internal Auditor or Management.

Desired Candidate Qualification

Qualification in B.Com, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in internal audit, accounts, finance, compliance, or related functions.
Basic understanding of audit principles, internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes.
Knowledge of accounting practices, financial records, and statutory compliance requirements.
Familiarity with GST, ESI, PF, labor laws, and other regulatory requirements will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
Good analytical, documentation, and report preparation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or similar will be an added advantage.
