Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer for Drone Repair & Maintenance to handle troubleshooting, repair, servicing, assembly, disassembly, calibration, and testing of various drone platforms including Agricultural Drones, DJI Drones, and other UAV systems. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in drone hardware, electronics, and field operations, along with the capability to perform test flights and ensure operational safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain UAV systems and drone components.
Perform assembly and disassembly of drones including airframe, propulsion system, payloads, ESCs, motors, flight controllers, batteries, GPS modules, and communication systems.
Handle maintenance and servicing of Agricultural Drones and DJI drone platforms.
Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of drones and accessories.
Perform firmware updates, sensor calibration, parameter configuration, and software troubleshooting.
Carry out test flights after repair and maintenance activities to ensure flight stability and operational efficiency.
Identify and rectify hardware and software-related faults.
Maintain service logs, repair reports, inventory records, and maintenance documentation.
Support field operations during drone deployment, inspections, spraying operations, and surveys when required.
Ensure compliance with DGCA guidelines and company safety procedures during drone operations and maintenance.
Coordinate with technical and operations teams for issue resolution and performance improvement.
Handle spare parts management and recommend replacement requirements.
Provide technical support and basic training to pilots/operators regarding drone handling and maintenance practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
Experience in drone repair and maintenance is preferred.
Knowledge of DJI drone systems and Agricultural drones is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with:
Flight Controllers
ESCs & Motors
Battery Management Systems
GPS & Telemetry Systems
Remote Controllers & Communication Modules
Wire Harnessing and soldering
Ability to assemble and disassemble drones independently.
Basic understanding of drone software configuration and firmware updates.
Ability to perform drone test flights safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with mission planning software and drone calibration procedures.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel for onsite service and field support activities.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
DGCA Certified Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is an added advantage.
Experience in agricultural spraying drones and industrial inspection drones.
Knowledge of LiDAR, RGB, thermal payloads, and mapping systems is preferred.
Prior experience in drone field operations or technical service support.
