Purchase Manager — Construction & Modular Materials

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Type: Full-time

About Think Brick

Think Brick is an architecture, interior design, and construction firm based in Coimbatore with a modular furniture manufacturing unit in Avinashi. We handle everything in-house from design and construction to modular furniture production. That means a lot of material moves through our hands, and we need someone sharp managing all of it.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for all procurement across the business construction materials, modular furniture components, hardware, laminates, plywood, fixtures, fittings, and everything in between. This role sits at the intersection of site, factory, and design and the person in this seat directly impacts our margins, timelines, and quality.

What You’ll Do

Manage end-to-end procurement for construction projects, interior fit-outs, and the modular furniture manufacturing unit. Source, negotiate, and build relationships with vendors and suppliers across categories — civil, electrical, plumbing, woodwork, laminates, hardware, glass, stone, and more. Ensure materials reach sites and the factory on time, in spec, and within budget. Maintain and update a vendor database with pricing, lead times, and reliability records. Coordinate with project engineers, designers, and the factory team to understand material requirements well in advance. Track purchase orders, deliveries, payments, and returns. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Stay current on market rates, new materials, and alternative suppliers.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in procurement or purchase management, ideally in construction, interiors, or modular furniture manufacturing. Strong vendor network in Tamil Nadu for civil, interior, and modular furniture materials. Good negotiation skills and a sharp eye for quality vs cost tradeoffs. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple purchase pipelines simultaneously. Familiarity with Tally, Excel, or any purchase/inventory management tools. Someone who takes ownership — follows up, follows through, and doesn’t let things slip. Tamil and English fluency.

Experience matters more than qualifications here. If you know materials, know vendors, and know how to keep a supply chain tight, we want to talk.
