Looking for a dynamic and technically inclined Graduate Engineer Trainee – Chemical to support manufacturing operations at our Sarigam, Vapi plant. The candidate will work closely with Production, Process, Quality, and EHS teams to understand and optimize chemical processes involved in industrial textile manufacturing.
The role provides an opportunity for fresh Chemical Engineering graduates to gain hands-on experience in plant operations, process control, chemical management, quality improvement, and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities: Production & Process Operations
- Assist in daily manufacturing operations and ensure smooth plant functioning.
- Monitor and control process parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
- Understand various chemical processes involved in industrial textile production.
- Support production activities as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with senior engineers and operators for process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze process deviations and support corrective actions.
Chemical Handling & Process Control
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of chemicals as per safety guidelines.
- Monitor chemical consumption and support optimization of chemical usage.
- Maintain chemical dosing records and process documentation.
- Understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and chemical handling procedures.
- Support trials and improvement projects related to chemicals and processes.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Work with Quality team to ensure product specifications are maintained.
- Assist in identifying root causes of process and quality issues.
- Participate in process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement projects.
- Collect and analyze production/process data for improvement activities.
Safety, Environment & Compliance
- Follow all plant safety rules, EHS guidelines, and work instructions.
- Ensure proper usage of PPE and safe working practices.
- Support compliance with environmental and statutory requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions and process abnormalities to seniors.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain shift-wise production and process reports.
- Record process parameters, chemical consumption, and operational data.
- Prepare daily reports and communicate updates to concerned departments.
Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
- Freshers preferred
- Candidates with industrial training/internship exposure will be an added advantage
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of chemical engineering principles and industrial processes
- Understanding of chemical reactions, process control, and safety practices
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts

The selected candidate will be required to work in rotational shifts as per plant operations.
