Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications and backend services.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both frontend and backend testing, with hands-on expertise in manual and
automated testing, API testing, database validation, and end-to-end testing.
You will work closely with frontend developers, backend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify issues early,
improve test coverage, and deliver reliable software.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and create appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Test both frontend applications and backend services across multiple environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for UI and API testing.
- Perform REST API testing, including positive, negative, authentication, authorization, error-handling, and data-validation scenarios.
- Validate data using SQL and perform database testing.
- Test integrations between frontend, backend, databases, and external services.
- Test asynchronous and event-driven workflows where applicable.
- Perform cross-browser and responsive testing for web applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Work closely with developers to investigate issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Validate defect fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Maintain and improve automated regression test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation.
- Review application logs and test results to troubleshoot failures.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities.
Technical Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience testing both frontend and backend applications.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and web application testing.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience testing microservices, service integrations, and automated regression suites.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines; exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of authentication and authorization, preferably OAuth2/OIDC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing React / Next.js frontend applications and Java / Spring Boot backend services.
- Experience with Playwright and TypeScript or Java-based API automation.
- Experience with event-driven or messaging systems such as Solace or Kafka.
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms; familiarity with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Experience in healthcare, finance, insurance, or other regulated domains.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
