Full job description

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Senior Business Development Associate to drive business growth in the logistics and supply-chain sector. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets.Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in logistics, transportation, freight, warehousing, and supply-chain services.
Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, referrals, and online channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand customer logistics requirements and propose suitable solutions.
Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while maintaining company margins.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales/revenue targets.
Coordinate with operations, customer service, finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Track leads, opportunities, follow-ups, and sales activities through CRM/MIS.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Conduct client meetings and presentations and participate in industry events when required.
Ensure timely follow-up on enquiries, quotations, and business proposals.
Support customer onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations.
Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on pipeline and revenue performance.

Required Skills

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of logistics and supply-chain operations.
Proven ability to generate leads and close business.
Strong customer relationship management skills.
Target-oriented and commercially focused approach.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics sales/business development.
Experience in B2B logistics, freight forwarding, 3PL, transportation, warehousing, or supply-chain services will be preferred.

Lead-to-conversion ratio

Number of client meetings and qualified leads generated

Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should be confident, proactive, target-driven, and comfortable with B2B sales. Experience handling corporate clients and knowledge of local logistics markets will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
