About the role

As an IATF Lead Auditor, you will conduct audits within the automotive sector, on behalf of DNV and will be responsible for documentation and reporting. You will liaise closely with clients at all levels of management, establish audit plans, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and timeframes. You will also work together with our program manager to further develop the business. You can be based anywhere in India.

DNV is looking for an IATF 16949 Lead Auditor who can:

Independently lead third-party automotive audits
Maintain appropriate auditor credentials / qualifications and pursue advancement of those credentials and other related credentials as needed
Represent DNV professionally with top management at client sites
Interact directly with all levels of client management in developing timely, complete and accurate report of their current level of compliance or implementation of their management system and release reports to customers as per timelines.
Deliver high-quality audit reports, documentation, and certification decisions
Timely review of customer corrective actions/ closure and approvals for issue of certificates.
Manage audit teams and larger certification projects
Contribute beyond delivery by supporting business development with the Scheme manager
Balance technical rigor + customer focus + time pressure

About you

Has successfully completed IATF 16949 3rd Party New Auditor Training (4 days) and passed all exams and assessments with 6-AUD (ADP Green status)
Four (4) years full time appropriate practical experience (including two (2) years dedicated to automotive quality management systems)
Knowledge of the automotive core tools.
Have conducted at least six (6) ISO 9001 third party audits in manufacturing industries, with at least three (3) as audit team leader.
Fluent and good knowledge of English language.
Demonstrated evidence of excellent communication, relationship management and conflict resolution.
Ability to build good relationship with customers.
Ability to coordinate, manage an Auditors Team assigned.
Strong and proven attitude to auditing, including mobility, flexibility, working under pressure, respect of deadline, relations with clients etc.

Business Assurance is a unit of DNV where we are working with our customers towards verifying them if they are compliant with some particular rules. We are responsible for scheduling audits. We need to assign the right person with the right competences to conduct such an audit. And we are analysing and improving their processes. But sometimes we need to register some findings like observation, opportunity for improvement, or even non-conformities. I verify our clients' system management by observing them, how they work, how they produce. It's very interesting because we are delivering some additional information for our customers, what they cannot see or discover in their own systems. My work life as an auditor is completely different than employees who are working from the office every day. Because usually I'm travelling to our customers that are located in a different part of our country. Almost every week I work with different people in different companies. So if you like travel, if you are well organized, DNV can be for you.
