Job Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the company. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure/construction accounting, including project costing, regulatory compliance (GST, TDS, RERA), and financial reporting. You will lead the accounts team, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and provide leadership with critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
- Project Costing & Budgeting: Monitor project-wise expenses, analyze budget variances, and manage cash flows for multiple ongoing infrastructure projects.
- Taxation & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, including timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and corporate filings. Experience with RERA compliance is highly desirable.
- Audit Coordination: Lead and facilitate internal, statutory, and tax audits by preparing necessary schedules and coordinating with external auditors.
- Banking & Fund Management: Manage working capital, monitor banking transactions, oversee CC/OD accounts, and handle documentation for project financing/loans.
- Vendor & Client Accounts: Supervise accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Ensure timely reconciliation of vendor statements and client billing milestone tracking.
- Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and review the work of executive accountants and billing clerks to ensure error-free data entry.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com). CA (Inter) or MBA in Finance is a strong plus.
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of core accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the Infrastructure, Real Estate, or Construction industry (mandatory).
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and ERP systems specialized for construction.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Revenue Recognition in construction contracts, and local tax laws.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage tight financial deadlines.
