About the Role
MD R&D Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior R&D & NPD Executive to lead the development of innovative skincare, haircare, and personal care products. The ideal candidate should have strong formulation expertise, a deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients, and hands-on experience in bringing products from concept to commercial launch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Formulation & Development
- Develop and optimize formulations for:
- Face Serums
- Day & Night Creams
- Face Washes
- Toners
- Sunscreens
- Face Masks
- Hair Care Products
- Body Care Products
- Research new ingredients, technologies, and market trends.
- Improve existing formulations based on stability, efficacy, and consumer feedback.
2. New Product Development (NPD)
- Manage the complete NPD process from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities.
- Prepare formulation records, product specifications, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with management to develop innovative product concepts.
3. Manufacturer & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with third-party manufacturers and laboratories.
- Source and evaluate raw materials and packaging components.
- Monitor trial batches and commercial production.
- Resolve formulation and manufacturing challenges.
4. Stability & Quality Evaluation
- Conduct:
- Stability studies
- Compatibility studies
- Product performance evaluations
- Packaging compatibility tests
- Ensure product consistency across batches.
5. Regulatory & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with:
- CDSCO Cosmetic Rules
- BIS Standards
- Cosmetic labeling regulations
- Ingredient safety requirements
- Maintain:
- Formulation records
- Stability reports
- Technical specifications
- Product dossiers
- Audit documentation
Required Qualifications
Education:
- B.Sc / M.Sc in:
- Cosmetic Science
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Cosmetic Technology
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cosmetic R&D and formulation.
- Experience in skincare and personal care product development is mandatory.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:

✔ Botanical extracts and active ingredients
✔ Retinoids, Peptides, Ceramides
✔ Vitamin C derivatives
