Job Description (JD) – Civil Engineer (Building Projects)

Position: Civil Engineer – Building Projects
Department: Projects / Construction
Reporting To: Project Manager / Construction Head

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing building construction projects while ensuring quality, safety, timely completion, and cost control. The role involves site management, contractor coordination, quantity verification, and compliance with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites.
Monitor project progress and ensure completion as per schedule.
Review construction drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
Ensure quality control and compliance with approved standards.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Verify measurements, quantities, and contractor bills.
Monitor material consumption and maintain site records.
Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Identify construction issues and provide technical solutions.
Manage project costs and assist in budget control.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and statutory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
3–8 years of experience in building construction projects.
Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial building projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.

Skills Required

AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
Project planning and site management.
Quantity estimation and billing knowledge.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of safety and quality procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely completion of projects.
Quality compliance and minimal rework.
Cost control and budget adherence.
Safety compliance at project sites.
Accurate billing and documentation.
Effective contractor and vendor management.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
