About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Product Manager – Business Development to drive product strategy and business growth across Electric Vehicle, Renewable Energy, and Industrial markets. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in power electronics, switchgear, and EV applications, along with experience collaborating with Sales and R&D teams to develop and launch innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the Sales team for product selection, customization, and customer solutions.
Identify and develop new product applications in collaboration with the Sales team across target market segments.
Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps for Schaltbau product portfolios.
Collaborate closely with the R&D team to define product specifications and ensure successful product development.
Plan and execute new product launches in the market.
Support business development initiatives by identifying new customers, markets, and strategic opportunities.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
5–6 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Business Development, or Technical Sales.
Mandatory experience in the Electric Vehicle (EV) or Automotive industry.
Strong technical knowledge of:
Power Electronics
Switchgear Products
Contactors and Connectors
EV Electrical Components
Good understanding of commercial aspects, including:
Product costing
Life cycle costing
Tendering process
Commercial negotiations
Business profitability

Required Skills

Strong technical understanding of switchgear and connector products.
In-depth knowledge of power electronics and EV systems.
Product lifecycle management and roadmap planning.
Market and competitor analysis.
Cross-functional collaboration with Sales and R&D teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and strategic thinking.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience working with automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, or industrial automation companies.
Passion for emerging technologies in Electric Mobility and Renewable Energy.
Willingness to travel frequently across India.
