This is a position within the Supplier Quality Services (SQS) functional group. As a Lead Position position, it is expected the incumbent will provide strong Inspection and Quality Audits task-specific functions. International travel may be required. While the specific nature of each assignment may vary, the incumbent is expected to be capable of performing or overseeing the following activities:

This position will work in the Global Time Zone to support and meet the needs of vendors located Globally but primariliy in Asia and North America.

The Supplier Quality Assurance Coordinator(SQC) will ensure that Project Inspection Plan in conjunction with client's expecation and contractual needs.

The Supplier Quality Coordinator will work with EPIC contractor, equipment suppliers, and oil company team members to coordinate and ensure quality control and compliance with all company required quality standards.

Plan to interface with USA team to handle "overnight" meetings/alternate time coverage for vendors located in Asia
-
Coordinate and review onsite inspectors' reports.

Interface with shops of various suppliers.
-
Review and approval of suppliers' quality control procedures as well as ensuring adequate inspection coverage for all packages..

Coordinate with engineering contractors on impacts and changes observed during the fabrication process as well as make judgment calls on when additional supervision is needed in the various suppliers' shops.

Attend weekly/bi-weekly supplier meetings for tracking of issues, notification of upcoming inspection events, schedule PIMs.

Take the lead, and support Engineering on issues resolution, specifically for specific quality deficiencies.

Make sure technical or non-conforming issues are closed prior to shipment

Review and endorse shop inspection reports.

Advise Project Engineering and Client of any open issues or issues that need attention right away.

Manage budget hours being used by the inspector, coordinate level of inspection to be relevant to package specifics.

Verify time writing corresponds to reports received, expenses are reasonable and in line with contract requirements.

Monitor daily visit flash reports are issued via email to appropriate recipients and advise/action items of concern or queries from inspector.

Verify technical issues are closed prior to issuing an inspection release..

Verify required ITP items are completed prior to shipping.

Travel to shops as needed to support kickoff meetings, NCR resolution, order tracking, and/or any other technical issues.

Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations.

Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere.

Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel.

Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.

Previous similar experience with Third Party Inspection Agencies will be preferred.

Some general management/supervision capabilities to coordinate activities of technical personnel.

High level of knowledge in upstream oil/gas project Quality Assurance and Quality Control methods and systems.
-
High level of knowledge of industry fabrication standards for oil/gas operating facilities.
-
Previous international experience/knowledge preferred.

Ability to relate to various levels of project management.

Good communication skills and PC skills to navigate SharePoint or other web file access systems and address files and folders within company file servers to facilitate information dissemination and report management.

For the US, candidate must be willing to work a second shift assignment.
Desired Candidate Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in engineering or technical field.

Minimum 15 years of QA/QC relating to capital projects in the oil/gas industry.

Certifications in technical and Quality fields such as ASME, AWS, ASNT, etc.

Lead Quality Auditor certification and experienvce in Supplier Audits will be desired.
