About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Software Support cum Tester. This is a great opportunity for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are passionate about software quality and customer support. You will work closely with developers and clients to ensure our software is reliable, functional, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to clients and end-users
- Analyse, reproduce, and document software bugs and defects
- Design, write, and execute test cases based on requirements
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Collaborate with the development team to verify bug fixes
- Maintain records of test results and support tickets
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed
Manual Testing Skills (Must Know)
- Test case design and documentation
- Regression, Smoke and Sanity testing
- Bug lifecycle management
- Test strategy understanding and execution
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC
- Familiarity with testing types: Unit, Integration, UAT, Regression, Smoke, Sanity
Automation Tools
UI Automation: Playwright (Highly Recommended), Selenium WebDriver, Cypress API Automation: RestAssured (Java), Postman Mobile Testing: Appium (basic knowledge, optional)
Framework Knowledge
- Data-Driven Framework
- Keyword-Driven Framework
- Page Object Model (POM)
CI/CD & DevOps
- Jenkins / GitHub Actions
- Running automation in pipelines
- Basic Docker knowledge (Bonus)
API Testing
- REST API testing
- JSON / XML handling
- HTTP status codes and authentication
Good to Have
- Performance Testing — JMeter
- Basic security testing knowledge
- AI-based testing tools (Trending!)
- Cloud testing — BrowserStack / Sauce Labs
Required Skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
