Senior Accountant

Experience: 6+ Years
Location: Ambattur Industrial Estate / Guindy, Chennai
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on experience, current salary, and interview performance)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the organization's accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, maintain statutory compliance, and support management with timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting principles, taxation, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

Manage end-to-end accounting activities including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely bookkeeping.
Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.
Handle TDS deductions, payments, and return filings.
Ensure compliance with Income Tax regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
Maintain records and documentation required for audits and compliance reviews.

Banking & Cash Flow Management

Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
Manage fund utilization and support working capital requirements.

Audit & Reporting

Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.
Prepare MIS reports, financial analyses, and management reports.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Internal Controls

Ensure adherence to accounting policies and financial controls.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
Support management in budgeting and financial planning activities.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualifications such as CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance functions.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Tally ERP and other accounting software.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.

Key Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and coordination skills.

Work Location

Head Office & Manufacturing Unit: Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai
Branch Office: Guindy, Chennai

Candidates may be assigned to either location based on business requirements and operational needs.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per month.
