Full job description

Summary:

Creative Choice Group, based in the USA, is a developer involved in wellness mixed-use, real estate investment, acquisitions, Construction, dispositions, and value added projects.

Creative Choice Group is outsourcing accounting work to Biz Accounting Pvt Ltd.

Due to the growth of the organization, our company would like to add an additional motivated, experienced, hands-on, hardworking Staff Accountant to provide leadership to local team and work on Property Management accounting.

Biz Accounting Pvt Ltd is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. We work as a dedicated offshore finance and accounting service arm providing accounting tax preparation, tax research and other services and take care of accounts for our businesses in the USA.

Position: Staff Accountant

Department: Accounting

Location: Gandhinagar 

Work Mode: Work from Office

Shift timings: 5:30 pm to 3:30 am IST, 4:30 pm to 2:30 am IST (Daylight saving applicable)

Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles.

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

Flexibility working in US shift.
CA Degree with 5+ years’ multi-family property accounting and finance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have experience of providing leadership / training to accounting team of 5+ people.
In-depth working knowledge of YARDI and Sage Timberline is helpful.
In-depth knowledge of Excel and Word.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Exposure to Construction Accounting and Job Costing and reconciliations
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be a team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Self-Starter.
Monitor NOI and help improve NOI
Conduct weekly meetings to improve NOI
Monthly / quarterly cashflow and expense projection
Cash management

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Prepare financial statement, including current monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variances including creating and posting entries, general ledger review and completion of back-up schedules.
Analyze and research budget variances.
Monitoring of cash flow for each property and cost control /expanses to achieve budgeted NOI.
Coordinate with mortgage companies on issues involving mortgage payment, tax and insurance escrows, replacement reserve accounts, etc....
Prepare year-end work paper packages for audits and tax returns to be provided to outside CPAs.
Answer questions on monthly financials statements.
Processing AP/AR including reviewing accounts payable batches for proper coding and approvals, propriety of payments, supporting documents, etc. Post reviewed and approved Accounts Payable (AP) batches.
Working on the Construction related accounting process including Job costing, Pay apps, Draw requests Etc.
Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
Assisting in month-end closing duties
Prepare and submit Form 1099 tax filings.
Accurately record income, expenses and changes in assets and liabilities on a monthly basis.
Assist property managers in annual budget process with Asset and Property Managers.
Assist property management with quarterly forecasts for assigned properties.
Read and understand the partnership agreement, the property management agreement and any loan documents related to assigned properties.
Prepare wire transfers and/or check requests as needed.
