WE ARE HIRING – GENERAL MANAGER (SERVICE)

Position: General Manager – Service
Industry: Honda Two-Wheeler Dealership / Service Centre
Location: Guwahati
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 5+ years in automobile service operations, preferably two-wheelers

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Service to lead and manage the complete service operations of our Honda two-wheeler service centre.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, technical, operational, customer-handling and team-management skills, with a proven track record of achieving service targets and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the complete service centre operations.
Lead and motivate Service Advisors, Technicians, Supervisors and support staff.
Drive achievement of service revenue, labour, parts, workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
Monitor daily workshop performance, job card flow, technician productivity and bay utilization.
Ensure timely delivery of vehicles and maintain high-quality service standards.
Monitor customer satisfaction, complaints and repeat customers, ensuring prompt resolution.
Ensure adherence to Honda service processes, SOPs, safety standards and dealership policies.
Monitor workshop expenses, manpower productivity and overall profitability.
Ensure proper inventory management and optimum utilization of spare parts and consumables.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate with the Sales, Parts, CRM and Management teams for smooth dealership operations.
Ensure proper discipline, attendance and professional conduct of the service team.
Identify training and development requirements for technicians and service staff.
Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly service performance reports.
Take corrective actions to improve workshop efficiency, customer experience and profitability.

Candidate Profile

Graduate/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant automobile service experience, preferably with a Honda/two-wheeler dealership.
Strong knowledge of workshop operations, service processes and automobile repair.
Proven experience in managing a large service team.
Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
Target-oriented with a strong focus on revenue, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Ability to handle customer escalations and resolve operational issues effectively.
Good knowledge of MS Office and service-related reporting systems.
Strong understanding of dealership KPIs and workshop profitability.
