Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Supervise produce collection, preliminary grading, QC, and vehicle loading.
Coordinate with internal procurement team for timely arrivals and volume forecasts. Ensure data entry of each lot in systems/ERP.
Oversee sorting, final grading, packing, and dispatch to clients or retail stores.
Supervise real-time inventory, cold chain integrity, and processing efficiency.
Monitor dispatch performance to ensure OTIF (On Time in Full) delivery.
Enforce 3PL contracts, performance KPIs, and SLAs.
Manage all 3PL operations including warehouse manpower, equipment, packaging materials, and transportation.
Define KPIs, monitor service quality, and review vendor billing and penalties.
Conduct regular audits and joint reviews with 3PL partners.
Ensure optimal use of storage space, proper stacking, FIFO/LIFO adherence, and hygiene standards.
Oversee pre-cooling, ripening, chilling, and ambient storage of fruits and vegetables.
Coordinate for crate return, cleaning, and re-use logistics.
Lead a team including operation executives, QC officers, 3PL supervisors, packers, loaders, etc.
Plan shift rosters based on business volumes (including early morning and night shifts).
Train internal and 3PL teams on SOPs, safety, quality handling, and productivity.
Collaborate with transporters for route planning, load optimization, and return logistics.
Use TMS (Transport Management System) for real-time vehicle tracking.
Manage hub-to-hub and last-mile deliveries through 3PL fleets.
Implement Lean practices, Six Sigma, 5S for productivity and cost control.
Monitor key metrics: wastage %, cost per kg handled, crate turnaround time, picking accuracy, and TAT. Reduce shrinkage and unplanned downtimes.
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, labour laws, safety standards, and audit requirements.
Maintain SOP documentation, 3PL service agreements, checklists, and inspection logs. Conduct regular safety drills and cold room performance checks.
