Job Summary:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant by ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining Wyndham brand standards, supervising restaurant associates, and achieving departmental goals. The role focuses on delivering memorable dining experiences while maximizing operational efficiency, revenue, and guest satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Responsibilities

Assist in managing the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and banquet service as required.
Ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods.
Maintain Wyndham brand standards and hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering departments to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor restaurant cleanliness, ambience, and service quality at all times.
Ensure proper table setup, mise-en-place, and outlet readiness before service.

Guest Service Responsibilities

Welcome guests and ensure an outstanding dining experience.
Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Build strong guest relationships and ensure repeat business.
Promote suggestive selling and upselling to maximize outlet revenue.
Monitor guest satisfaction and implement corrective actions when required.

Team Management

Supervise, train, coach, and motivate restaurant associates.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure proper grooming and hygiene standards.
Prepare staff duty rosters and manage manpower efficiently.
Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
Ensure discipline, teamwork, and a positive working environment.

Administrative Responsibilities

Assist in preparing daily operational reports.
Monitor restaurant inventory and coordinate stock requisitions.
Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
Control breakage, wastage, and operational costs.
Assist in achieving departmental revenue and profitability targets.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards (FSSAI), HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
Follow all hotel safety, fire, and security policies.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the outlet.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management.

Experience

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service.
At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a reputed hotel.

Mandatory Requirements

Hands-on knowledge of IDS Software is mandatory.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Good knowledge of food & beverage service procedures.
Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
