Job Summary
The Production Manager – CNC is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising all CNC machining production activities to ensure timely delivery, optimum utilization of machines, manpower productivity, quality compliance, and cost control. The role focuses on achieving production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Control
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly CNC production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per customer delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Monitor machine loading and capacity utilization.
- Reduce machine idle time and improve productivity.
- Ensure proper allocation of manpower and machines.
- Monitor shift-wise production performance.
CNC Operations Management
- Supervise CNC turning, milling, VMC, HMC, and machining center operations.
- Ensure proper machine setup and tooling availability.
- Monitor cycle time and optimize machining processes.
- Implement process improvements for higher efficiency.
- Ensure CNC programs are followed correctly.
- Coordinate with programmers and tool room teams.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / BE Mechanical Engineering
- CNC Programming certification preferred
Experience
- 8–15 years experience in CNC manufacturing operations.
- Experience in CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, and production management.
- Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
