Job Description
In this role the person will be the responsible for ensuring success of business critical application operations by supporting the day to day batch processing, analyzing and fixing the issues on priority while adhering to standards and SLA's. The person should be able to support High priority(P1/P2) incidents dynamically by providing timely resolution for the problem and handle other service requests. The person will also be responsible for handling minor enhancements, perform code reviews, handle application outages(planned/unplanned) and responsible for performance and maintenance of the highly critical business application. For this role we are looking for a highly motivated Individual who will be working as Sr. operations analysts working in technologies. The person should exhibit leadership qualities and demonstrate business acumen while working closely with business users to understand requirements and help team translate it into technical changes.
Provide end to end production support and derive immediate resolutions/root-cause of the incidents arising in and around the Legal, Compliance and Supervision Application’s Distributed systems to ensure quick restoration of service degradation and hence minimal business impact.
Key Responsibilities

Work as part of Operations team primarily supporting the Distributed applications
-
Respond to incidents as well as work to identify proactive incident circumvention
-
Support the Batch Operations that occurs nightly for Distributed systems
-
Work on rotation basis during the day and night Operations shift to support both night batches and the day time Operations work alternatively
-
Identify and recommend performance enhancements/improvements for applications
-
Provide 24x7 on-call support and work during hours that accommodate a portion of the US work day or during the full US work day shift (India night shift) including weekends / holidays
Incident & Problem Management
-
Work towards quick resolution/recovery of the high priority incidents in a time-bound manner to ensure business continuity and minimum downtimes

Coordinate and drive restoration of service disruptions/business escalated issues to meet and exceed established SLAs/OLAs
-
Ensure action plans are in place to address recurring issues, including escalation and effective hand-off to other teams as required

Work towards aggressive root cause analysis/permanent resolution for all the business impacting recurring technical issues
Change Management

Participate in change reviews and understand operational impacts due to changes

Continuous Service Improvement Initiatives

Improve effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes

Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
-
4-8 years of experience in Production Support, Application Operations, Cloud Operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
-
Strong experience supporting distributed applications in Production environments.
-
Hands-on experience troubleshooting applications hosted in AWS Cloud environments including EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS and CloudWatch.

Strong experience with: SQL and database troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux administration Java and/or .NET application support Enterprise batch scheduling platforms such as TWS (IBM Workload Scheduler), Tidal, Control-M or equivalent
-
Practical scripting experience with Bash Shell and PowerShell for production support, troubleshooting, operational automation, monitoring and batch processing.

Experience automating manual operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python or AWS native automation services.

Experience supporting ETL workflows, data pipelines, file transfers and batch processing environments.
-
Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Sumo Logic, CloudWatch or equivalent.

Strong understanding of ITIL practices including Incident, Problem and Change Management.
-
Proven experience in root cause analysis, service restoration and proactive incident prevention.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who have used following tools (or have familiarity with below) will have added advantage:•

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate (Highly Preferred)

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (Optional)

ITIL Foundation Certification

Experience supporting financial services, compliance, supervision, legal, or highly regulated applications.

Experience with: AWS Cloud Operations DevOps and CI/CD concepts Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) Python automation development

Knowledge of ETL platforms such as Informatica, AWS Glue, IDMC, or equivalent.

Experience building operational dashboards, monitoring solutions, and automated alerting mechanisms.

Knowledge of Mainframe environments and scheduling integrations is a plus.

Proven track record of identifying automation opportunities and reducing operational overhead through scripting and process improvements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive operational mindset
