Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development:
- Collaborate with design and production teams to develop and execute new products based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure timely approval of prototypes and samples.
- Order Management:
- Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure smooth order processing from inception to delivery.
- Maintain clear communication between clients and the production team to meet deadlines.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support decision-making.
- Suggest new designs or products to cater to emerging market demands.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
- Source raw materials and packaging supplies while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate prices and timelines with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels to ensure the availability of products and materials.
- Work closely with the inventory team to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards before dispatch.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and stock.
- Provide regular reports to management on merchandising activities and outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the paper or packaging industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and implement strategies.
- Knowledge of design and production processes in the paper industry is an advantage.
