Our mission is to simplify digital commerce for small and medium businesses through a scalable SaaS platform supporting ONDC, Amazon, Shopify, and other leading channels.
We are now launching publicly and building our core leadership team.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Sales to build and lead UniSouk’s sales organization from the ground up.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in a zero-to-one startup environment and has hands-on experience building scalable B2B sales systems.
You will be responsible for creating sales strategy, building a high-performing team, establishing processes, and owning revenue growth across priority markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Revenue Ownership
- Develop and execute UniSouk’s go-to-market strategy for D2C brands, manufacturers, and retailers across India
- Define Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), market segments, territories, and pricing strategies
- Own monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Build accurate forecasting and performance reporting systems
Sales Process Development
- Build and optimize the complete sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure
- Implement CRM systems and sales performance tracking
- Create standardized sales assets including:
- Pitch decks
- Sales playbooks
- Objection-handling frameworks
- ROI calculators
Team Building & Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Conduct coaching sessions, field visits, and performance reviews
- Design incentive structures aligned with revenue and customer retention
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Customer Success and Onboarding teams for seamless client handovers
- Partner with Marketing to improve lead quality and campaign performance
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to provide customer feedback and identify feature opportunities
Enterprise & Strategic Sales
- Personally lead and close high-value strategic deals
- Build key reference accounts and customer success stories
- Develop channel partnerships and strategic alliances
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of B2B sales experience
- 2–5+ years in SaaS, e-commerce, retail-tech, or related industries
- Proven experience building or scaling a sales function from scratch
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Deep understanding of India’s D2C, retail, and marketplace ecosystem
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Experience with CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment
- Existing network within India’s retail, D2C, or e-commerce ecosystem
- Experience selling to founders, business owners, and decision-makers
