Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize MS SQL Server database environments in a 24/7 production setup. The role ensures high availability, performance, security, backup, and disaster recovery across development, staging, and production environments while meeting strict SLA requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Administer and manage multiple MS SQL Server database instances across production, staging, and development environments.

Monitor database health, performance, and availability in a 24/7 production environment.

Perform backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery operations.
-
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability across systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, failures, and incidents.

Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
-
Support database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

Participate in incident management and ensure SLA compliance.

Conduct root cause analysis for recurring database issues.

Support ETL processes, data integration, and ERP/BI-related data workflows.

Assist in data pipeline monitoring and reporting support activities.
Required Skills:
-
Experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration.

Strong expertise in backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.

Experience supporting production databases in SLA-driven environments.
-
Good understanding of ETL processes (SSIS or similar tools).

Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Scripting experience in SQL/PL-SQL, Shell scripting, or Python (preferred).

Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing databases.

Exposure to data integration, ERP systems, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in Database Administration (DBA) with a focus on MS SQL Server environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in database backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing databases in production environments with 24/7 availability and SLA requirements.
- Solid understanding of database monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution processes.
