Research Intern

Organisation: Sense International India

Department/Vertical: Mental Health and Research

Job Type: Internship (Temporary / Contract)

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (or as per organizational guidelines)

About the Role

Sense International India is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Intern to support key research work in the organisation. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research methodology, evidence synthesis, data management, and report writing in the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities

Literature & Evidence Synthesis: Conduct literature reviews and synthesize research evidence related to mental health and organizational projects.
Data Management & Analysis: Assist with data entry, data cleaning, and basic quantitative/qualitative data analysis.
Documentation & Reporting: Support research documentation, report writing, and compilation of findings.
Academic & Conference Deliverables: Assist in drafting manuscripts, abstracts, and conference papers.
Project Coordination: Coordinate research-related activities, track timelines, and maintain proper documentation.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Provide support for monitoring, evaluation, and special research assignments as required.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Statistics, Research Methodology, Special Education or a related field.
Skills:
Strong interest in research and evidence-based practice.
Excellent writing, editing, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of statistical and analytical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Atlasti, Nvivo or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Attributes: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to deadlines.
