Sales Executive

Sales Manager / Deputy General Manager / Director

Job Purpose

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating and converting sales leads through phone calls, IndiaMART, digital inquiries, and other marketing channels. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, preparing quotations, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting the company's sales and marketing activities to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Lead Management

Handle all incoming sales inquiries through phone calls, email, WhatsApp, website, and social media.
Generate new business opportunities by making outbound sales calls.
Convert inquiries into qualified leads and sales orders.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective customers until closure.
Achieve monthly sales and lead conversion targets.

2. IndiaMART Management

Manage the company's IndiaMART account on a daily basis.
Respond promptly to all buyer inquiries.
Prepare and send quotations through the IndiaMART portal.
Update product catalogues, images, specifications, and pricing.
Improve inquiry response time and lead conversion rate.
Monitor IndiaMART performance reports and generate leads.

3. Marketing Support

Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team for lead generation campaigns.
Follow up on leads received from Google Ads, Meta Ads, website, exhibitions, and social media.
Support promotional campaigns, dealer development, and product launches.
Collect customer feedback and market information.

4. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and dealers.
Provide product information, technical specifications, pricing, and availability.
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
Coordinate with the service team for after-sales support when required.

5. Quotation & Documentation

Prepare quotations, proforma invoices, and sales proposals.
Maintain customer records and sales documentation.
Follow up on pending quotations and purchase orders.
Coordinate with the Accounts Department regarding payment follow-ups.

6. Coordination

Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Dispatch, and Service departments for order execution.
Ensure timely communication regarding order status and deliveries.
Assist in resolving customer issues related to dispatch or service.

7. Market Research

Monitor competitor pricing, products, and market trends.
Collect customer feedback to support product improvements.
Identify new market opportunities and potential customers.

8. Reporting

Maintain daily call reports and lead tracking sheets.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
Update CRM/Excel records with customer interactions.
Report sales performance and market feedback to management.

Required Skills

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
Diploma or certification in Sales or Digital Marketing is an added advantage.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Inside Sales, Tele Sales, B2B Sales, or Customer Support.
Experience in handling IndiaMART, website inquiries, or industrial/agricultural products is preferred.

Preferred for Apogee Agrotech

The Sales Executive should have basic knowledge of:

Laser Land Levelling Systems
2D & 3D GNSS Land Levelling Systems
Precision Agriculture Equipment
Agricultural Implements
Dealer and Distributor Coordination

The candidate should be capable of converting digital inquiries into business opportunities while ensuring prompt customer support and effective coordination with the sales and service teams.
