Full job description

Department: Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Purpose

To ensure that all aluminium extrusion, fabrication, packing, and dispatch activities meet customer specifications, statutory requirements, and the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001), while driving continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure quality of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
Monitor extrusion, fabrication, and packing processes to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using appropriate measuring instruments.
Handle customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, SOPs, control plans, calibration records, and other IMS documentation.
Implement and maintain the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
Plan and conduct internal audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Monitor non-conforming products and ensure effective disposition and corrective actions.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of measuring and testing equipment.
Train and supervise quality inspectors and promote quality awareness across the plant.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, and Dispatch for effective quality control.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements, and promote 5S and continual improvement activities.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgical, or related discipline.
5–10 years of experience in aluminium extrusion/fabrication, preferably in the solar industry.
